YIELD AND FRUIT QUALITY OF ALMOND, PEACH AND PLUM UNDER REGULATED DEFICIT IRRIGATION
نویسندگان
چکیده
• Regulated deficit irrigation was assessed in almond, peach and plum over 3 years. Fruit-growth slowdown stages are appropriate periods to apply irrigation. Peach yields were unaffected under a regulated of 75% ETC. 50% ETC maintained almond plum. Fruit quality improved The effects (RDI) on the performance cv. Tuono, JH-Hall Stanley Saiss Plain (NW, Morocco) three consecutive growing seasons (2011–2013). Irrigation treatments consisted control, applied fully satisfy crop water requirements (100% ETC), two RDI treatments, (RDI-75) (RDI-50). These during fruit-growth corresponding Stages II III Stage Yield fruit traits determined. effect differed between species. size reduced significantly only RDI-50. this species first year experiment, with an increase sugar/acid ratio polyphenol content. Plum also but significant second third Similar results recorded kernel, their epidermal grooves deeper RDI-50, may have affected commercial value. It is concluded that can be saved period by up 25% improvements without affecting total yield.

متن کاملImproving Almond Productivity under Deficit Irrigation in Semiarid Zones
Sustainable water use is one of the greatest challenges of irrigated agricultural systems. This study presents the results related to the agronomic and physiological response to the deficit irrigation of almond trees (Prunus dulcis DA Webb Mill cv. Guara) under semiarid Mediterranean conditions in the Guadalquivir river basin (SW Spain). Two deficitirrigation strategies were tested: i) regulate...
متن کاملEffect of deficit irrigation on crop growth, yield and quality of onion in subsurface drip irrigation
Indiahas the largest area under onion (Allium cepa) crop but its average productivity (14.21 t ha-1) is considerably lower than the world’s average of 19.4 t ha-1. Besides low productivity, irrigation efficiencies are also very low i.e. 30-35% in India. Managing onion crop with less than adequate irrigation water availability is a challenge in several parts of the country. Options of i) deficit...
متن کاملEffects of regulated deficit irrigation on physiology and fruit quality in apricot trees
The effects of regulated deficit irrigation (RDI) were studied on 9 year-old apricot-trees (Prunus armeniaca L. cv. ‘Búlida’) grafted on ‘Real Fino’ rootstock. Two irrigation treatments were established. The first, a control treatment, was irrigated to fully satisfy the crop water requirements (100% ETc) and the second, a RDI treatment, was subject to water shortage during the non-critical peri...
